Maine Restaurant Week has been such a hit…heck it’s TWO WEEKS starting Sunday, March 1, 2015 and running until March 14th! You’ll see once again there are many participating restaurants and eateries across the state with many concentrated here in Portland, Maine to delight your taste buds.

This years Maine Restaurant Week has a few interesting events planned like The Pancake Races at Bissell Brothers Brewing Company and the Chef-Am Bowling Tournament at Bayside Bowl.

The Signature Event this year is a food and cocktail pairing competition at Prime Mercedes Benz on US Route 1 in Scarborough on Sunday, March 8, from 530pm to 8pm. According to Maine Restaurant Week,

“Bartenders will work with their restaurant’s chef to invent cocktails that pair perfectly with flavors from the kitchen. The challenge is to create cocktails and dishes that play to each others strengths and deliver a unique cocktail and food tasting experience. Come ready to sip and taste your way through each of the pairings, cast votes for your favorites and help choose Maine’s top bartenders and chefs.”

This is a 21+ event. Tickets are $50 per person or $45 each for groups of four or more. Includes all cocktail and food pairings plus hors d’oeuvres and food stations.

Your 2015 Signature Event Competitors: Academe (Kennebunk), Sonny’s (Portland), David’s (Portland), 40 Paper (Camden), The Good Table Restaurant (Cape Elizabeth), Fuel (Lewiston), Lolita (Portland), Marche (Lewiston), Natalie’s (Camden), The Tavern (Brunswick), TIQA (Portland), and Timber (Portland)
